Cetrimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium salt having antistatic, antifungal and antibacterial properties.
Thanks to its positive charge, it binds to the negative hair after shampooing, eliminating their electrostatic charge, making them untangled and combable.
It is a conditioning agent, gives shine and softness to the hair. Its already excellent conditioning properties are even more improved when combined with a humectant (such as Glycerine Flower Tales) or with fatty acids (such as Cetyl Alcohol or Cetearylstearic Alcohol) but a non-optimal formulation can cause loss of viscosity to the product finished.
It is particularly detangling, therefore suitable for curly hair or hair that is difficult to regulate. It has an antiseptic action that inhibits the growth of bacteria on the scalp, thus combating excessive desquamation and eliminating odors.
It is not of animal origin and has never been tested on animals.
